ahh, procastination

So! Right now I should be...
1. Writing a review for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
2. Reading Great Expectations and,
3. Doing an English worksheet.

Am I doing any of the above? Of course not! I'm gonna wait till the last possible second, like I always do!
Anywho, I haven't updated here in a while, save my little wish list. God, I can't wait for christmas. I've been brainwashing myself for the past week listening to Sunny 99.9, all they've been playing since the beginning of November is Christmas songs. I love it.
I really have nothing else to say. Oh well.

Christmas Wishlist

It would mean a lot to me if this holiday you could try and donate to TWLOHA. The organization's purpose hits close to home and I'd love to see them getting help this holiday.

Oh yeah,

I forgot to say this-
So, Friday I went and saw HSM3 again, and it was even better the second time. I was 10x more annoying this time also. It was great.
Other than that I did pretty much nothing this weekend.
But, one last thing...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASSADIE!

SAY ANYTHING SELF-TITLED ALBUM IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR!

Max Bemis just posted a blog to inform fans that "Say Anything," their new self titled album will be coming out this upcoming year. The band will begin recording this winter in L.A. Max explained to fans that "Say Anything" (originally planned to be titled "this is forever") is going to be a chance for him to resolve all the conflict brought up in previous Say Anything albums.
"if any person has followed our band, they understand our albums tell the story of a simple dude (me) and his evolution in life. this is the part where, having gone through his "idealistic--yet-furious-virgin" phase (baseball), young "drunk-angry-pukey-sex" phase (is a real boy), his "reaping - the - benefits - of - years - of - self - abuse - by - being - stuck - in - a - terrible -relationship" phase (in defense of the genre), he is finally confronted with the question of what the point of all of it was. what is the moral of the story? why be in a band? why try to "get" the girl? you spend years bitching or hurting yourself and others until you realize there is really something to fight for and something to fight against and being a man means drawing the line. that, my friends, is where the real adventure begins.

this album is self titled for a reason; it will take all the musical and lyrical themes of every say anything song, and attempt to resolve them and infuse them with something pure and direct."- Max Bemis (myspace blog)
Aside from this project, Max Bemis will also be releasing an album with his side project band Two Tongues. In the band with him is Chris Conley, lead singer of Saves the Day and object of admiration to Max Bemis. Two Tongues' self-titled debut will be out February 3, 2009.

Now my opinion on the matter: HOLY FUCKING SHIT I AM SO EXCITED, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALBUM FOR MONTHS!!!!
If you didn't know it already- Say Anything is my favorite band and Max Bemis is way up there on my "favorite people in the world" list, so this news is monumental to me. I'm so glad Max is writing an album that will try to resolve all the crap he's gone through. It's really meaningful to me, because I've gone through similar phases (not nearly as extreme though) and his music has always comforted me and made me feel not so alone. I'm finally at a time of peace in my life and I'm glad to see he's getting there too.

Squee! This is so exciting!

The Vote By a Landslide: Barack Obama

My faith in this country has finally been restored. No crying, no moving to Canada, no cursing, or yelling, or throwing. Life seems so much better now.
Barack Obama has been elected to be the 44th president. He will be the first African American in office. This day will go down in the history books, twenty or thirty years from now I'll be able to tell my children, I watched Obama win, I listened to that speech on November 4th, 2008. I am honored to be able to tell my children that I watched Barack Obama change history.

Yes We Can.

TOMORROW IS ELECTION DAY!

Tomorrow! Ahh, it's so exciting! I'm going to be up all night tomorrow waiting for the final results. I swear if Obama doesn't win I'm going to cry. Hopefully that won't be a problem. Fingers crossed.

elections and hsm 3...

I'm fucking freaking out about this Tuesday. Only two days till we know who our future president will be. Hopefully it's Obama. If not, I'll see you all in Canada.
Okay, so yesterday I went to see High School Musical 3. Let me fill you in, I HATED the first two movies. They made me want to kill infants. So I went to see this one reluctantly with my friend Teagan, almost as a joke. To my surprise, I got way too into that movie. And I loved it. I felt like THE biggest dork in the universe because I was totally laughing my ass off and squealing through the movie, much like the majority of the 5 year old audience in the theatre along with me. I have no doubts I was the oldest person in there, minus the annoyed parents of said 5 year olds. But fuck it man, I had fun. Yes, I'm a dork.
