Sister's Birthday

Sooo, today was my little sister's 12th birthday. In celebration the family went to see Mama Mia! It was really good and very funny and I definitely recommend it. Although if you aren't into musicals or ABBA, you would probably want to shoot yourself by the end of the film.
After that we went to Carly's favorite restaurant, Carnitas. Which is a really good Mexican restaurant here in El Paso. I had already eaten almost an entire bag of popcorn on my own so I barely ate.
Unfortunately she didn't have really anything to open as far as presents go because she already got a cat and is getting a temper-pedic bed. But yesterday I gave her a painting of Marie from the Aristocats (her favorite Disney character) that I made. The only reason I gave it to her yesterday was because she saw it in my room and I figured it was just stupid to wait till today to give it to her.
So, that was her birthday in a nutshell. Now I'm really bored and I look like a dirty hippie. well goodnight.

July 29

Today I went to....the dentist! OK, so I know a lot of people are afraid of the dentist. I don't know if it's like a fear of finding out they have a cavity or they don't like their teeth being cleaned but, I don't understand it. I love the dentist. Like, I love the little metal spout thing that shoots out water and the little like mouth vacuum, I don't know why but I think they're great. And I just love the feeling of super clean teeth, it's great.
So then after that I went home and cooked this awesome pasta dish for me and my mom with tomatoes and garlic and mushrooms in it. It was really good. But of course now I smell strongly of garlic.
I have belly dance in like 2 1/2 hours so I need to kill time. Tomorrow is my sister's birthday so I get to go see Mama Mia!
Well that's all for now.
au revoir!

artwork

So, as you may know, I enjoy drawing in my spare time (which I have a lot of lately) and I wanted to share some of my newest artwork. These are some ink drawing which I'm actually really proud of (which is rare considering the amount of artwork I horde in my room). I feel, with this artwork, that I've developed my own unique style that has vaguely popped up in other pieces I've done but has never been used to this extent. In my drawing, I usually get very worn out trying to finish large very detailed pieces. I don't like putting little details in the background and I REALLY do not enjoy drawing inanimate, or non-human objects. I've tried. I hate it. That's why you'll see that all three of these are drawn as busts. As you might pick up on, I really like paying close attention to facial features and like to make bold eyes and lips to make my drawings pop. As you also might pick up on, these are not clean cut drawings and look like sketches and that is a big point in the artwork, I'm not trying to make another Mona Lisa, I'm drawing in a way which fits my personality. That just so happens to be messy. So, I'll shut up about my artwork and try to let it speak for itself. Enjoy, and it would be great to hear feedback.

California Update

This is the last one! I really skimped while actually in California, mainly because I had virtually no free time in Anaheim. I was at Disneyland/California Adventures from 8 till nearly midnight, both nights. But it was great and completely worth the fatigue that followed.
So the first day in Disneyland was great we got there and didn't have to wait long in line for anything. We went on Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, blah blah blah. It was fun. Then me and my mom went over to California Adventures to watch Aladdin A Musical Spectacular. Holy fucking shit. It was awesome. I mean really, during Prince Ali, the actors came out and paraded through the audience with Aladdin on a giant elephant thing. How much better can it get? Oh, well how about magic carpet flying over the audience better? But the truly awesome thing about the show was the fact that me and my mother unknowingly snuck into preferred seating. Oh yes, we're bad.
After that we went on the Tower of Terror which I loved. I went on it again the next day. After that we basically just went on more rides, those I can't remember.
Anywho, the next day was even more awesome. Why? Because I met mothafuckin Aladdin and Jasmine in California Adventures! Ok, so I felt like a total dork cause I was all excited to see some people (really hot people!) dressed as characters from a cartoon (really awesome most amazing cartoon ever!) and my mom had some little Aladdin book she got signed, but that brings on a funny discussion:
Jasmine: Oh I've never seen one of those before! (in reference to book)
Mom: Oh, I just found it at some store. (lol, great response mom!)
Aladdin: So where should we sign it? *looks through pages* *finds magic carpet ride page* Ah! Here!
*Jasmine starts reading the page opposite picture page where Aladdin is signing*
Aladdin:*looking up into sky smiling* Yeah, I remember that!

Then later:

Mom: Can she get a picture with just Aladdin? If you don't mind Jasmine...
Jasmine: Oh, it's fine, we're happily married I trust him!

It makes me laugh, how well they stay in character! I just wish I knew what they were really thinking and how they really get along with each other.
Pictures!

Well, after meeting the biggest royalty of disney ever, in my opinion, we went to have some lunch. I wasn't that hungry so I just got a fruit...thing with strawberries in it and a water and watched all our stuff while the rest of the family got food. And for the record, those were like the best strawberries I've ever had. But that's not my story. So, I'm just sitting there eating, and I feel a tap on my back so I'm like wtf? then I turn around and it's Flick from A Bug's Life! So then I was like, oh hey! And since he's not supposed to talk he motioned at my strawberries and pointed to his mouth and rubbed his stomach and I just laughed cause I really don't know a good response for arm motions. But then we blew each other kisses goodbye and it was all good.
After all of this, we eventually went and watched the Electrical Light Parade and part of the Fireworks show, which didn't really matter since we could see it from our hotel. Then we went on a train ride around Disneyland and left. It's sad, that place really is the happiest place on earth. Le sigh. Everywhere is depressing compared to Disneyland.
Well, that is all.

mahdfahdgndvckldsa

So, right about now I should be posting pictures from my trip and updating about Disneyland, but I really don't feel like it.
Today kind of, basically sucked. I've just been sad all day. I found out one of my ex-friends is telling people I'm calling her (ok, I really don't know how that's supposed to piss me off but, yeah...) and posting pictures from school with me in the background and labeling me as "some stupid loser *coughcough* casey mCcool." And you know, it wasn't that good of an insult but for fuck's sake! We were friends for two years, you'd think she'd still remember which c is capitalized in McCool. Not the first one. Obviously.
But other than that, I've just been really fucking bummed out. I feel very distanced from all of my friends and just depressed. Belly dance got those endorphins going for a bit, but other than that...BLEHHHHH! Although, out of frustration I drew a pretty cool picture.
I guess that's the end of the rant, hopefully I'll feel better soon and update on California.

Day 3- San Diego

Today we went to Sea World! Woooooooooooooo! So we were there for a while, we went on The Journey to Atlantis, which was very cool and surprisingly steep and of course we saw the Shamu show and all that jazz. It was all very fun, but now I'm tired and have sunburn from hell because of course I forgot to put on any sun block!
Tomorrow we leave for Anaheim and spend two days in Disneyland! It sucks that I have to go with sunburn but I'm determined to have fun!
Other than that, nothing's really going on. I really want onion  rings, but whatever that has nothing to do with anything.

Day 2- San Diego

Today was much more eventful than yesterday! this morning we went to Balboa Park where we took a tram around and went to different gardens and museums there. The gardens are gorgeous and had some of the prettiest plants I've ever seen there. The park is HUGE so there were a lot of places to go including the zoo which we unfortunately didn't go to but I did get to see the Old Globe Theatre where a lot of broadway plays, including Avenue Q, are performed.
After Balboa Park we went to a crappy timeshare thing, but that's not important.
So after that we went to La Jolla where we had a $73 dinner on a rooftop overlooking the ocean so it was very worth it. After dinner we went to the beach and swam and drank coffee from The Living Room Coffee House, great coffee by the way. It was very fun and I got some really nice pictures of the beach at sunset. But, once again pictures wont be up until next week, but it'll be worth the wait!
Tomorrow is Sea World! Then we're off to Anaheim to see Disneyland! I cannot wait.

Arizona/Day 1 in San Diego

So, last night was the first on my trip to California. We stayed in Casa Grande, Arizona. I NEVER want to stay in Arizona again. It was horrid and hot and I thought I was going to die of boredom.
Luckily, though I am now in beautiful San Diego! I love it here, it's gorgeous and I wish I could live here (certainly makes up for the stay in Casa Grande)! Since we just got here today we haven't really done anything big but tomorrow we head for the beach and Tuesday is Sea World! Then off to Anaheim! I'm really excited.
Unfortunately, I'm on my dad's laptop so I won't have pictures up until I get home cause his computer's being retarded. So goodnight!

Degrassi, California, and grandparents (?) oh my!

In just hours I will finally be on my way to California! I'm really excited, and of course I packed way too much! I can't wait.

Tonight was premiere of the new season of Degrassi, and I was fairly disappointed the episode featuring Ellie and Marco making out on Marco's bed did not air as one of the first two episodes. Instead (spoiler alert!) we saw Jimmy blackmail his father into letting him get stem cell surgery after catching him with an office secretary and Mia get busted by the police with her 3 year old daughter at a booze driven party (well that kid sure isn't gonna be fucked up!). All in all there wasn't much of a shock factor brought upon by the first two shows, but hopefully there's something better yet to come.

My grandparents are over right now, trying to figure out our alarm system since they'll be house sitting this week and it's rather comical. I really hope they don't kill our dogs.

Ahhh life!

So, this week has been fairly uneventful, basically due to the weather. I mean, it would be pretty foolish to go out this week considering flash flood(basically one or two inches of water "oh dear!") warnings which mean everyone on the road is FREAKED because this is the desert and obviously no one's ever seen rain before. Eh, whatever.

Day after tomorrow I leave for California! Although I won't get there until the day after the day after tomorrow because I'll be spending the night in Arizona. But hey, I'm out of El Paso regardless! Luckily, my father will have his laptop meaning I'll be able to update this blog for all you readers! (Number of Readers: at most, maybe 2). Hopefully my ever wonderful friends will at least get on to see pictures of my first ever adventure to Disneyland (they better, if they want presents)!

Well, that's about all I have to say, I'll be back on the 19th? Well, I'll be back when I'm back. I should really be getting done packing.

au revoir!

so i've been slacking...

I'll admit, I'm not too good at this blog stuff. I need too many days to myself just because if i posted anything online I'd be bitched at for sounding whiny because I'm feeling cranky that day. Today was one of those days starting around noon, i woke up and around 9am I was feeling pretty good. I don't know why... but I was! So, I was just sitting in my room being happy and optimistic when I start getting this massive headache and start doing nothing but whining and being mad at everything. I really can't control my bitchy mood swings and it's kind of bad. I mean, when I whine, I WHINE. It's non-stop streams of curses and leave me alone's, or if it's not that, it's complete silence and dazing out into space refusing to talk.
What's even worse is later today I was in a good mood again and all I wanted to do was sing, of course my family forces me to confine myself in my room and belt out my musical numbers in there. And where's the fun in singing when I can't do it in way where I'm serenading my 26 pound pug dog in front of the family? I definitely cannot think of anything more entertaining than that.

I just realized half of this blog probably makes me sound like a drunken catholic schoolgirl who doesn't know what a handjob is (by the way, i don't know what that analogy is supposed to mean either).

So right now it is 11:28pm and I'm getting pretty tired. I think this will be the end of this blog.

terminé!

dance of the belly

So today was my little 6 year old cousin's birthday party. Cassadie came along and we all (Cassadie, me, my sister Carly, and aunt Elissa) swam for about 10-20 minutes. It sucked cause the pool was small and there were mass amounts of people in there. But it was fun?
It was great, on the ride home I fell asleep on Cassadie and then took a nap again at home. It's really sad that the majority of my life revolves around laying in bed. Anywho, then was time for bellydance! It's been, fuck, over a month, so I was kind of out of shape but it was fun. And now that we're in the dance studio at Center Stage I get to see Shelbie, Cassadie, Laura, and the whole gang after dance classes. I also bought a really fucking great CD from my teacher, it's middle eastern music, but I love it and it is great for practicing.
Here is the link to the amazon page for it though I doubt there's any serious want for belly dancing music.
Speaking of belly dance, if you're interested you should go check out Rachel Brice and Sadie on youtube.com. They are AMAZING and a big inspiration. And if anyone reading this is interested in lessons I can give you the number of my instructor and you can join the class! It's all ages and very fun, so no worries. Hope this is informative? entertaining? sexy?
I'm kind of losing my blogging abilities, sorry guys.
