skinny love

I still can't bring myself to draw anything with meaning behind it. It's a sad thing for me to have to admit. It pains me to think of it.
I hope that tomorrow things aren't as awkward with alan as they were on friday. Again, on a pathetic note, I'm relying far too much on this for happiness, for inspiration. This weekend has been strange and fairly unhappy. Or, maybe that's not the right word, I think indifferent is better. I was just put in an overly strange mood over his actions. It wasn't how I see him.
Oh well.

the words are written in the air

I'm having major artistic problems. I think I need to take a break from drawing to get some inspiration. That way I'll be able to concentrate on writing as well.
Today I watched "The Life Before Her Eyes." I cried. It was beautiful.

fuck.

He's republican.
I'm willing to look past that if he is.

Today we had belly dance in the new studio, the El Paso Conservatory of Dance. It was so nice! There was actually room to move!
And now, my friends, I believe I should unleash to you my newest obsession. Which comes in the form of a Swedish girl by the name of Lykke Li.
WALAA!

Obviously, I'm excited. I have nothing else to write, I'm too happy and distracted. I'm going to paint my nails.

geometry and english

Right now I should be doing homework, but I really don't feel like it.
Yay! Tomorrow we go in at 12:45 so I get to sleep in and make yummy breakfast/lunch food! and then on Thursday I get to come home early and make cupcakes! Mmm, my life is starting to revolve around food.
Ok, so I'm going to take a giant leap in assuming the guy I like doesn't read this blog and I'll tell you a bit about him. So, his name is Alan, he went to Lincoln so I barely know him, but I like him kind of a lot. He's in basketball and plays the cello. A combination I never thought I would find so attractive. Anyways, a week or so ago I kind of gave him my number? Long story. Anyway, so now I'm really excited because I'm hoping he'll call me on my birthday, and I don't know, whatever happens after that. He's the coolest guy I've ever met, he's funny, cute, and very nice. I hope things work out.
So now that I got that out! Three more days! Yesss!

so, life...

So today was awesome, like every day is. I don't think I completely bombed my geography test. Amazingly. I managed to come up with a science fair topic that doesn't involve tesing 1,000,000,000 people, and that I'll actually enjoy, in less than a class period. I'd say today was a big accomplishment.
After school Carly and I were bored because our French class was cancelled. So what do two bored sisters deprived of francais do instead of homework? Bake sugar cookies from scratch, obviously. So we got a recipe online and ended up making like, 40 cookies. So, I'm bringing 30 to geometry tomorrow. I think it's funny how Mrs. Galvez's class is like the pastry dumping ground of the school. Not that I'm complaining...
Thank god, tomorrow is belly dance and then two half days of school! More baking on Thursday, and omelets in the morning with Cassadie on Wednesday (hopefully)!
Four more days! Gah!

ah!

My birthday is this Friday! I'm so excited. Haha.
On another note, I just walked six miles today. I'm so proud of myself. I don't know how I'm not tired. Or dead. My sister wanted to kill me because every time she wanted to go back home I was like, "NO! Just a little more!" By the time we got past Subway on our way back from the trail she had a blister the size of Montana on the back of her ankle. As if having to listen to me blab endlessly about the guy I like every day isn't bad enough. I'm a horrible sister.
I can't wait for Friday. I want to open all my presents. Even though I already know what half of them are.

rocky horror!

Today was the opening night of the Rocky Horror Picture Show for Center Stage. It was so good, and the cast (what I saw of it) was amazing. If you have a chance GO WATCH. Tickets are $10 and prop bags are $5, and if you wear a bow tie Hendricks will kiss you.
Aside from that, yesterday was the Theatre field trip to see the Producers at the UTEP Dinner Theatre. This, also, was amazing. I liked some of the actors in this production more than those in the movie. Again, GO WATCH. I don't know how much tickets are though because I got in for free.
I can't believe how insane everyone got at the pep rally today at school. Homecoming really gets to some people. It's disgusting. Oh, well, I'm not going tomorrow anyway so it doesn't really matter.
